October Highlights

October is a great time to catch the gas giants Saturn and Jupiter rising higher in the evening sky where they’re situated for more convenient observing, especially with the longer nights slowly returning! Join Standley Lake Stargazing for an overview of highlights in the sky this month, along with updates about the Polaris Dawn mission and its historical context, and much more!

Fundraiser note: Our summer fundraising program is underway, we truly rely on your support to keep our organization running, if you’re able to contribute please visit standleylakestargazing.com/donate to help us reach our goal of $6,000 for the year. We can’t do it without you, thanks for your support!

Reminder: Our Thursday evening programs continue throughout the year. Send an email to contact@standleylakestargazing.com if you’d like to join the mailing list and receive notifications about our weekly programs.
