Thursday 6:00 PM (MST)
This week we’ll continue exploring the mysteries of Venus with a look at another incredible mission, Pioneer Venus. Launched in 1978, the Pioneer Venus Mission was comprised of two primary components: the Pioneer Venus Orbiter and the Pioneer Venus Multiprobe. These missions significantly enhanced our understanding of Venus’s atmosphere, surface, and interaction with solar wind. Join Standley Lake Stargazing for a deeper look at this sophisticated probe and the vast amount of data it produced!
