Apollo 13 in Real Time

The Apollo lunar missions were perhaps the most ambitious endeavors in all of human history. These missions were so thoroughly documented with footage, images and technical records that it can be daunting to understand just how these missions were accomplished.

Thanks to an ambitious multimedia project called “Apollo in Real Time”, anyone can now relive the historic first landing of Apollo 11, the ‘Successful Failure’ of Apollo 13, and man’s last voyage to the lunar surface with Apollo 17. This highly interactive website allows you to replay a mission timeline synchronized with footage, radio transmissions, transcripts and photographs of the mission events as they happened in real time, along with post-mission commentary from a range of experts. It also gives options to scrub forward to mission highlights, replay events, and even explore 3D models of the spacecraft configurations.
