Comet NEOWISE Is Now Visible in the Evening Twilight

Comet NEOWISE is now visible in the evening twilight around 9:00 PM, but it won’t be around for much longer! Use this chart to help find it this evening.

NEOWISE is now on its way out of our solar system, which for observers means it will continue to grow fainter every day. Most predictions say that we’ll have about a week of good viewing before it leaves, after which it won’t be back for close to 7,000 years.

Don’t forget to join us for our free virtual program Science & Cinema: Part 2 Wednesday, July 15 @ 6:00 PM. See the Events page to register! We’ll include an update on NEOWISE at the beginning.

Check back each weekday @ 5:00 pm for more observing guides and science news!
