Mercury in Twilight
Mercury, the closest planet to the Sun will be visible in the twilight tonight. Once again the weather is far from ideal but for close to an hour after sunset you’ll have a chance to find Mercury in the western glow.
Head out just after sunset and see if you can spot the rusty orange planet, it will be close to the horizon and follows the Sun’s path almost exactly, making it relatively easy to locate if you know where the Sun crossed the horizon.
Mercury moves fast from night to night, so catch a glimpse while you can before it disappears in the Sun’s glare in the coming weeks.
