Triple Conjunction

Jupiter and Saturn are making headlines again, this time joined by Mercury to form another rare grouping in the evening twilight known as a ‘triple conjunction’ this weekend!

You can view this extraordinary event by watching the south-west horizon immediately after sunset. The three planets will appear to chase the Sun over the horizon shortly after it sets, so be ready to begin searching at the moment the Sun crosses the horizon. You can see this array starting tonight, though tomorrow Mercury will slide even closer to Jupiter and Saturn. Given the inbound weather system you may have the best view tonight!
