Memorial Day Stargazing
Many will find themselves away from city lights this Memorial Day weekend, and with the New Moon setting almost immediately after sunset this weekend is ideal to find a dark sky location and look upward. And don’t forget that Comet SWAN is nearing peak visibility in the pre-dawn and early-evening sky!
Standley Lake Stargazing is also hosting a live presentation Sunday, May 24 3:00 pm called “Isolation and the Cosmos” where we’ll discuss ways to get outside and learn the sky during the shutdown. To register for the free online event, visit:
